- Other Info Between 2am and 8am on Sunday unknown persons have entered a farm in the Kirk Smeaton area and stolen 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Ruby is 11 years old blind and deaf and spayed. Milo is 10 years old and is neutered so both are no good for breeding. Police are appealing for anyone with any information or anyone that may have been offered the sale of these dogs to contact NYP on 101 quoting incident 12210065126 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.... This is a bit of a happy/sad story ❤️
Ruby was stolen along her brother Milo, back in February, from a farm in Kirk Smeaton area, between Doncaster and Leeds. About a week ago her brother was “found” and taken to one of our neighbouring clinics with a very bad broken jaw and due to his injuries was put to sleep. 💔
Yesterday, a man brought Ruby into our clinic. He walked in and said that he had found her walking alone in Oxhey woods, he then quickly left because he said his children were in the car. We didn’t have time to get any details from him.
Fortunately, Ruby was looking unharmed and besides very very hungry and fairly skinny, she looked happy and in good condition.
We can’t even start to imagine how horrible this experience must have been for these two dogs. Losing a dog for even 20min is stressful enough, so having them stolen from you must be agonising. Really sad to learn Milo couldn’t make his trip back home but hoping to have this beautiful baby reunited with her mama today!
