LaRochelle has been a star, amazing ending. It is great to get the news Richie has been found and is safe. I will update the Animal Wardens. The power of Liverpool coming together. Everyone has been fantastic working together behind the scenes and following things up since Shadow was posted as found on fb, I seen comments from people who recognised him. This has been Team Work at its best. Scouse Pets 2 and members have played a big part, also Care For The Paw who do an outstanding job looking after street dogs. So many go above and beyond when needed. It is great to get the news Richie is safe he had everyone worried.

Thanks a million to everyone who has played a part one way and another.
❤️❤️❤️

When Shadow was found he was recognised as possibly belonging to a homeless person and concerns were growing as it was not known where he was.

Below update cross posted by LaRochelle on fb group ‘ The People’s Republic Of Liverpool’

EDIT: Paul & I are with Richie now. He’s safe and well after a difficult night mentally, emotionally & physically. We’re going to stay in contact with him and support him as best we can going forward.

It’s been a very worrying night and day today and we’ve been out searching along with others throughout that time.

It has been from the huge support and collective efforts from all our old mates and everyone on this page, that we managed to locate him.

We’ve had a good long conversation with him and he knows just how deeply he is loved and just how much everyone cares.

We showed him the post, comments and sheer volume of shares and he is overwhelmed with joy at everyone’s support.

He is also hugely relieved that Shadow, his dog, is now safe and well with his mum.

Special thanks to the DogLost , Scouse Pets 2, Care For The Paw, Julia Gibson, Ian Harvey, Simon Mayne Amie Seare - and of course every member of the group who shared & left kind comments, you’re all fantastic 🙏💛✨

Please can everyone in the Aigburth/Lark Lane area look out for Richie.

Richie often sits outside Tesco/Home Bargains on Aigburth Road. He also used to sit outside the Masonic/Lodge pub on Lark Lane where he would also find a spot for the night behind the car park.

Last night his dog, Shadow, was found wandering in the area at the back of the pub and was taken in by neighbours. He is now with the council dog wardens.

There has been no sign of Richie yet and we are worried.

Those of us who grew up with Richie, remember him as such a gentle, caring, loving lad who was super smart and intelligent. He was like a father figure in our little gang, always there for us and always with a smile and a hug.

Despite the twists and turns that life has taken for him, he’s still our mate Richie Shacko and we love him and care about him.

Last year he was found in a very bad way on the streets with pneumonia. He was found just in time and was hospitalised. He got well but sadly the support after hospital just wasn’t robust enough to help him maintain things.

His dog Shadow is his absolute world, his best friend he’s had since a pup. It’s unusual for them to be apart which really worries us.

Please keep an eye out for him as he is now reported as missing. If you see him, please let him know that his boy, Shadow, is safe.

Thank you all very much 🙏

I have included photos of Richie and Shadow and also a lovely, albeit grainy, pic from when he was younger ♥️

EDIT: We have had information to suggest Richie may also sit by MacDonalds on Aigburth Road.
