- Cats that escape their carriers like this will usually find refuge in someone`s garden/shed/garage, and is probably being fed. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too, asking people to search their outbuildings. When searching at nightfall, take with you his UNWASHED blanket, and rattle some treats too. At the same time wear the same deodorant say you use on a day to day basis as he will recognize the scent, and your the one he trusts. Post a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper in case he has climbed into a vehicle. Ask family, friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL. Twitter too. Best time to search for a cat is evening/early morning when it`s quiet. Paws xd.
