- Cats that escape their carriers like this tend to find refuge in someone`s garden near where they ran off: (Maybe hiding in someone`s shed/garage/greenhouse) Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Owner, take good walks around the said area, taking with you an object with his scent on such as his UNWASHED blanket, and rattle his favourite treats. At the same tine wear the same deodorant say that you use on a day to day basis as he will recognize the scent, and your the one he trusts.
