Catty-sara, thanks for looking out for him and spreading the word. I did manually email helpers and could only send to helpers who had put their area in when registering i.e. Yorkshire, West Yorkshire.  As Jayne has said hopefully we will have the postcode emailing facility back soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So pleased he's found, what a handsome lad.  I will tell the couple of people I asked to display posters to take them down.
Admin - I didn't receive notification (though I had already seen it and mentioned it to the few people I know in that area).  The first part of my postcode is BD22, about 10 miles away, but the same local authority.

Posters have now been emailed to 110 registered helpers in the Yorkshire/West Yorkshire areas, unfortunately we do not have the automatic postering facility on DL at the moment and it has to be done manually.  Jan x.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

there has been no news of England yet but owners and friends have been out postering and will continue to do so. His owners called at Fleet kennels today and were told he is not there and they left a poster with them. They will be returning there again to check.i have also given his owner contact numbers for Springfield, Oakenshaw and Marina kennels and am  sending posters out to them all. Hopefully with more posters going up we will get some news of this lovely boy xx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just spoken to my friend and she will pass onto her contacts also. England has very distinctive colouring ( particularly if seen around Bradford ) so if someone has got him he will be easy to identify .Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It's an awful thing to mention, but the council cleansing department are required to keep a record of all dogs that they collect which have been involved in road accidents.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have passed Englands details on to a local rescue worker who in turn has passed them on to people that go in to some of  the local pounds. So we have plenty of people looking out for this boy. Thankyou to all who are helping with postering and spreading the word about England. x Pam Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Also check anywhere that dogs are sold locally. Poster pubs in case someone tries to sell him on.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Is he neutered? Strays are also housed at Marina Kennels in Huddersfield (01484 426407). Need to get the word out to as many people as possible in case he has been taken in. A neighbour may recognise him as the dog someone has recently taken in. The T&A have never been interested in missing dogs unfortunately, but could try the local free paper and radio stations. Also worth speaking to the local binmen and postman to get them on the lookout, as well as local taxi firms and takeaways. Hopefully the reward will prompt someone to call very soon. Can't poster too much. Will try and get out to help early next week if he's not already back.   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

England escaped from the garden with another dog which was later caught. There were a few possible sightings of him in nearby streets but since then no word at all. The dog warden has been informed and owners are going to poster as widely as they can and his owner will be checking at Fleet kennels to make sure he is not there. This boy is a much loved pet and very badly missed. Pam xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am so sorry to see that this lovely boy has gone missing. Please poster, poster, poster as much as you can to raise the maximum amount of public awareness possible. Also inform all local dog wardens, vets and stray kennels and keep checking with them so they dont forget you !!  By law stray kennels only have to keep a dog for 7 days so it is VITAL that you keep checking with them and also call there in person to be SURE he is not there. Try FLEET KENNELS, FLEET HOUSE, FLEET LANE, BRADFORD BD 13 1LH  PHONE ........ 01274 881271 I hope he is back with you very soon xxx Pam  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
