This does sound one for the Travellers' Liason Officer...!! Suggest the owners also go through the Lincolnshire racehorse trainers and email the poster to them all, see http://www.racehorsetrainers.org/contacts/findtrainerbyalpha.asp  (put Lincolnshire in the search box). Also try Point to Point trainers and go to any local P2Ps and hand out flyers - details on the main Point to Point sites, all frozen off right now of course. Find local shooting groups and esp the local Hunts. Are the police on the case? I would not call Lincoln 'East Anglia' btw - more East Midlands! - it's 4 hrs drive from here at least LOL

Just been talking to Ellies owner. He is aware of found dog 16552 and is checking it out. Ellie is missing from a very rural area. On the night she went missing a white van was seen in the area with several dogs in the back and owner has since found out that 4 dogs have gone missing recently. Ellie was in season so she could have gone looking for a mate but it is out of character for her to wander off. Owner has informed vets, dog wardens and rescue centres. Have advised to poster further afield and to contact radio Lincs. Ellie has a small scar/lump on her front right shoulder that feels a bit like a thorn under the skin, wonder if her microchip has migrated.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
