- Brilliant news that it was Nobby and just goes to show that all local dogwardens and kennels must be contacted incase another authority picks the dog up. Glad that Nobby is getting chipped and Neutered after his adventure.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Nobby has now been reunited with his owners. I think the owner was very spooked by the distance that Nobby had been taken to the council stray kennels. Because of the geography of the area Nobby was picked up on the boundary of two different councils and he was taken the VOWH council kennels, these are 25 or more miles away, and not the most obvious place to look!! Nobby is now sporting a brand new collar with his contact details on and is booked in at the vets for his "little op" in the morning.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Good news. Have just heard from owners and they have tracked down a dog that answers Nobbys description in kennels 25 miles away. Its where the local council take strays. Owners are going over Monday morning to collect their dog and I have asked them to let me know for sure that it is Nobby. Cetrainly sounds like its him though. Fingers crossed. I will update tomorrow.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- It's awful when any dog goes missing, but hate it when the "oldies" do. Poor Nobby, hope he is back home soon. Know the owners dont have internet access, but are they able to access posters ( even if printed off by someone else ) so they can give to binmen, milkman, people who might be in the area on a daily basis who can keep a lookout ? - Owners do not have internet access which is why I have posted. They say Nobby is a chunky lab going grey under chin. I have told them whet to write on posters so hopefully they will be doing that today.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Nobby is a very friendly dog and has probably gone after the scent of a bitch in season. He is a retired stud dog.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
