I am so, so upset. I have only just seen this. Spider probably didn't realise what he was doing as he could now walk on the lake. Please know, it would have been quick. I am so so sad about this. I wish you peace and love as Spider would want you to be okay - I know it's too hard - but one day. Spider will always be your's - waiting in heaven until you are reunited properly. God bless you and Spider. x

very sadly i have received this email from Spiders family who with no other news or sightings of Spider have taken this report as closure. Run free over the Bridge handsome Spider xxx Pam
Hi Pam

Just to let you know, we found out the other day that on the Monday night Spider went missing he was seen on the iced lake in Roundhay Park. Then the ice cracked and he went in. We havent found his body yet to confirm if this is true. Knowing that Spider is terrified of water and he knows that lake very well, I myself find it very hard to beleive but it is our only link.

Thankyou again for all your help you really did help us in a big way and stopped us giving up.

Regards
Vickie Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spiders owners have contacted me this morning following the message I left with them. They were not aware of the 7 day ruling and I have emailed them details for all the stray kennels for their area and they are going to contact them and hopefully, as i advised, visit them in person to make sure Spider is not there. Some postering has been done and we really need as many posters as possible displayed in Leeds for this senior boy . Hoping we get some news of Spider very soon xx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner, sorry to see Spider is missing.  Thanks for sending his details to Admin to register him on DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search.   Can you email a photo  admin@doglost.co.uk (QUOTE ID 16596) a.s.a.p. any problems with a photo let us know.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be registered and logged in). Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.   Please update us on the circumstances of how he has gone missing, is it from home or on a walk?   Can you also let us know who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope he is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Would be great if owners can get photo on asap. ~As can get posters up around the area. Hopefully has been registered with dog warden  but owners need to follow up and check the kennels that Leeds council uses. 1) Marina Kennels, Huddersfield  01484 426407 2) Mount Pleasant, Hampole    01302 722748 3) Oakenshaw Kennels ,  Doncaster Road,   01924 863037Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
