So pleased this old fella has been located. Just goes to show how important it is to give everyone a photograph of your dog and not just a description!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

E-mail from owner   Hi, Toby turned up at the dog pound in the end - fit and well, and back home now. Many thanks for your support. It turned out a well meaning dog owner (with many dogs of her own!) had taken him in, and mistaking old age (deafness and arthritis) and the after-effects of a stroke a couple of years ago (a permanent tilt to his head) for injury and neglect she took him to a vet, who trimmed up his tatty hair (under sedation - he only lets us tidy him up for about 10 seconds before he tries to growl). She then called the Dog Warden, who ahd a description but didn't connect this with him, so took him to the Dog Pound. We only found him by phoning round the local vets, one of whom phoned us back when an assistant came on duty who recalled treating him. Thanks again Sue Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to see Toby is missing.  Thanks for registering his details on DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search, can you confirm the circumstances, has he gone missing from home or on a walk?  Great you have supplied a photo/s.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be registered and logged in).    Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.   Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope he is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
