Brilliant news: https://www.eveningtelegraph.co.uk/fp/dundee-pensioner-feels-like-she-has-won-the-lottery-as-missing-cat-is-returned-following-month-on-the-run/

Extract from full article:

"A Dundee pensioner says it feels like she has “won the lottery” after her missing cat was returned following one month on the run.

Joan Walker, a 66-year-old skin cancer sufferer, was devastated after her beloved Russian Blue housecat, Blue, ran away from home last month.

The two have spent a large amount of the pandemic together, with Joan saying the absence felt like “losing a bairn.”

......

The eight-month-old kitten was spotted in the Hilltown on Wednesday and handed into the SSPCA centre in Petterden, before being returned to Joan in the evening

.....

Joan also thanked everyone who helped her with her search and added: “I really appreciate everyone who called in with a sighting even though it wasn’t him.

“I’m so grateful to Linda and all the people at Missing Pets or their help too.”

Assume all outbuildings were checked at the time BLUE CAT went missing? Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Post in shops; post offices too. Post a LOST CAT in a National newspaper in case he has climbed into a car, which isn`t that unusual for cats to do. Someone may have taken him in thinking he`s a stray; it happens. Also is there a "Mr Big" (Dominant cat) in the area? As sometimes they will chase a less confident cat out of it`s own territory. However the chased cat will not return until the think it`s "Safe" enough for them to do so. Try putting scented items in the garden, along with your scent too. Think about using a cat trap from Cat Protection; maybe for a small donation. Place it in the garden with his scent inside. Just because you can`t see a cat, it doesn`t mean they aren`t around.
Someone maybe feeding him (Common problem) Ask family, friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL. Twitter too. Paws xd that BLUE CAT will be reunited very soon. Last edited: 2021-04-21 18:27:16
