There is a male crossbreed at Springfield kennels website.  pupsandmutsdogrescue.co.uk  under west yorkshire strays. Is this the pic/link that has already been checked out?  If not, could be worth a lookLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'll get posters to the vets in Shipley and Bingley, and Pets at Home. He has probably been taken in by someone local, so important to poster as much as possible to get the word out. local taxi offices, shops, takeaways etc. The more people that know, the more that are on the lookout. Someone may mention to someone else that they have found a dog People are not always sure what they are meant to do with strays, especially as the police don't deal with them now.

Sukimax posted a possible match for Charlie last night. I had also seen  the similar dog  and thinking it could be Charlie I alerted his owner and emailed the photo to them  but sadly its not him. I have since discovered that the found dog is smaller than it looks in the photo ! Sorry sukimax but the post you made with the link has vanished and it could be my fault as I cut and pasted your link to be sure we were talking about the same dog. I do apologise and thankyou for taking the trouble to make the post xxx Pam  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to see Charlie is missing. I am very local so can help with postering as much as possible.   Please make sure you check the stray kennels even on a daily basis if possible as new ones keep coming in.  Strays can be taken to Springfield Kennels 01924 271028  ( www.lostdogs.yorkshire.com) Marina Kennels, Huddersfield  01484 426407   Fleet Kennels at Queensbury. 01274 880408  Please try to visit each one in person to ensure he is not there , as sometimes descriptions of cross breeds can vary in individual interpretation. Another place to contact is the PDSA hospital Wakefield Road, Bradford as they also get calls from people who have found dogs and dont know who to contact if you cant get a poster in there let me know and I can take one in. Binmen, postmen and anyone who is out and about in the local area regularly are good ones to give posters too. As he could have gone "upwards" it might be worthwhile contacting similar people in the Halifax area too.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have spoken to Charlies owners and hopefully they will be sending a photo in ASAP. There was a sighting of him a couple of days after he went missing but nothing since. We need to get plenty of posters up in the area to raise as much public awareness as possible. Hoping for some news of this boy very soon xx Pam  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner, sorry to see Charlie is missing.  Has he gone missing from home or on a walk?  Thanks for registering his details on DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  Can you please upload photo/s or email to admin@doglost.co.uk (QUOTE ID 16648) any problems with a photo let us know.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed once a photo has been added by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).    Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.   Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope he is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
