I’ve contacted dog warden but need to get chip details to them to double check. They think the dog found is considerably younger than what Buddy would be but you never know. I’ll keep you posted x

Will ..the dog is listed on Dog Lost as a found dog. You need to search found dogs with ID number149329. Animal wardens do not have photos so you will have to phone them. Good luck.

Hi Jan, Can you text me with the number of the person who does the tattoo? Still no sign of Buddy but you never know he may turn up. He will be delighted with his new 'girlfriend' Dolly - at least she's keeping us busy. Thanks JackieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jackie, thanks for the update.  Sorry is was not Buddy but great he has been reunited with his owner. Re moving Buddy to the top, unfortunately due to the amount of missing dogs being registered on DL they do quickly fall down the listings.  We have a criteria for them being bumped up, this is sightings, media coverage, Country Man's Weekly (which Buddy has been in) and also anniversaries.  Try and get some more media coverage in local papers.  Good luck.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Jan, Sorry forgot to ask, can Buddy go back to the top of the list again? I'm not sure how to do this. He's difficult to find now with it being so long. Thank you. JackieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, Just been on to the kennels and he's been claimed by the owner today. He looked very like Buddy and I got really hopeful thinking they may have missed the chip. Maybe next time. Thank you to everyone for all your help. Jackie xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, Sorry for the late response but computer has been getting repaired so not been able to get on to site. No news I'm afraid, still no sign of him. Has been 3 months now so we are less hopeful of getting him home. We just hope that whoever has him is looking after him properly. Thank you for checking with the RSPCA. Had a look round Halewood RSPCA today, no border terriers in there. Will's posters are still up in the Petshop and Post Office in Whiston Village.  Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jackie thanks for letting us know the dog in Yorkshire was not Buddy.  Great you have had people contacting you, keep up the brilliant work.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi and thanks again for the Yorkshire lead, it gives us a bit of hope knowing others are still looking for him. He looked like a lovely dog so hopefully he will be reunited with his owner soon. Strangely after a bit of a quiet spell we have had a few calls over the last couple of days, probably with him being in CMW. Thanks again. JackieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jan, Should I re-register Buddy on this site as I now have to search for him as all the pages do not show? Let me know. ThanksLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Jan. It's been just over five weeks now and no sign of him. We are at a loss as to what to do next. People have been so helpful locally though so you never know he may turn up. Our only real hope is the fact that he is microchipped and any type of advertising has got to be good. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing him in the CMW. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Still no news of Buddy, 3 weeks tomorrow. Earlier this week I emailed vets with posters and went through the yellow pages and sent a poster to every vet in it. Hopefully it might help. I did wonder how you get the dog advertised in the Countrymans Weekly though. How can I do that?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Will for updating us, you are doing a brilliant job, it can sometimes take a few weeks for you to get the right call but you must keep up with spreading the word and go further a field.  Leave a poster with as many vets in the Merseyside area you can.  I did visit Halewood RSPCA to check on a few local missing dogs, nothing there that looked like Buddy.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, Thank you for all the responses and ideas to help. My husband and I have already put posters up around the area and beyond. We have also delivered over 700 flyer's to houses in the area and put a 'lost' ad in the Liverpool Echo. We have had lots of calls but unfortunately none that have led to Buddy yet. We are in daily contact with local dog centres and have registered his details with lots of others around Merseyside. Coming up to two weeks soon and no sign, he seems to have vanished! Trying to remain positive but its difficult especially with a 4 year old who is missing his playmate.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to see Buddy is missing, but wondered if the circumstances have been reported to the police. I know he may be not classed as stolen, the finder could have thought he was stray,  but people do still try and contact them so they could have a log of someone finding him but not knowing where to take him. Please get  posters up  and check regularly with local kennels  I will check thru other sites to see if any found ones advertised. Hope he is back home soon xx  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Will, sorry to see Buddy is missing.  Thanks for registering his details on DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  Great you have uploaded photo/s.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).    Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  Great he is CHIPPED do contact the Chip Co and report him missing and check your details are up to date. Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope he is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
