We now have a new addition to our family a 13 week old Beagle pup who is absolutely georgous! Unfortunately still no news on Milo, but we really hope we hear something soon. Now we have a dog again we can continue searching for Milo.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi , I have tried to phone Mrs Hamilton but no answer. I have changed the poster to Milo still missing....if you could print out some fresh posters that would be great!! Bless you!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I live in Pirbright (Dawney Hill) and have noticed Milo's posters being taken down, unfortunately I think many people assume he has been found. I'm more than happy to help printing and putting more back up if that helps. Is it possible to refresh them so they stress that Milo is still missing?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just to update you all. Police visited an address and people were very helpful but no luck on Milo! Not sure what that was all about! The trail has gone very very cold and most of our posters have been taken down, so we will redo some updated posters and post them all over again. Jayne, I am not sure if we have done the postings to all vets etc, so would be grateful if this hasn't been done if we could do this now. Really don't know what to do next.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just wondered - you may have thought of this already but have you taken this story to the local media, e.g. Surrey Advertiser, 96.4 The Eagle radio station or local TV station? Perhaps an approach from doglost.co.uk, initially talking about the number of dogs that go missing in this area and then specifically featuring Milo, would help to raise the profile of Milo's case and would make it more difficult for him to be kept hidden, if this is indeed the case. It's a long shot but would perhaps be worth trying...Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I went to to the Hants country sports fair at the weekend and kept a good eye out incase he (or some of the other local missing dogs I have "memorised") turned up there as they had a terrier/Lurcher show, but no joy on him or others. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The simple fact that someone is removing the posters points towards him still being close by and being hidden...After our phon convo the other day I suddenly thought it might be useful to see if there are any horse shows being held locally.. if so call in and hand the posters to the kids and the parents. Someone somewhere knows where he is. It just needs someone to get nervous. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Runfold-Eddie:
Keep hanging on in there. He will show up and he is so "identifiable" with his one up and one down ears. Plus the unusual, lovely tan with no black overlay colour. He is chipped, I have great faith that he will show up sooner rather than later.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dog Warden visited the local gypsy camp and checked all the dogs, none of which were Milo unfortunately. She is going to another one soon, so fingers crossed we may have some more luck there. There have been no more sightings for over two weeks and a lot of our posters have been taken down. We therefore feel it is extremely likely that someone has him and just hasn't handed him in to anyone. Very depressed at the moment especially as we went to a few rescue homes to see other dogs, but none of them really match up to Milo!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The situation is being monitored and we hope to hear some more news over the next few days. it is safe to say we are pretty certain where Milo is but are having to use a softly, softly approach.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well we have had quite a lot going on over the weekend. There were supposedly two sightings of Milo on Saturday; one in Horsell where a dog was walking up the middle of the road and creating havoc, and one on the Heatherside Estate near Deepcut and on the way to Camberley. Since speaking to various people we do not think that the sighting in Horsell was actually Milo. However, since putting up more posters on the Heatherside Estate we have been inundated with calls saying they have seen Milo on both Friday and Saturday. We are just waiting for a call to say that someone has actually caught him! He was apparently sitting outside the local shops at about 6.45pm last night but no-one actually got that close to him. Apparently one women looked on his collar to see if there was a tag, but unfortunately he hasn't got one! Fingers crossed today may be the day we actually catch up with him.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We were out until 3.00am this morning putting more posters up around the Lightwater and West End area, especially targetting known dog walking areas as well as the main streets. Hopefully if more people see the posters, more will get in contact. Unfortunately nothing so far.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Another call-another sighting-same area! Owner will do an intensive search of the area-have told him to look out for crisp wrappers that have been pulled apart and licked clean-on saying that owner recalls yesterday seeing a bakery bag ripped to shreds in the area-have advised him to go straight back and leave a scent trail-chances are that Milo is nearby!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner was up at dawn today walking through the area of the sighting-all food, water and treats have been eaten overnight-but it may have been the foxes. owner has put lots of posters up and everyone in the area has been informed. i guess now it is just a waiting game until another sighting.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner has rung-the posters have generated a sighting this morning down by the canal near the ranges-owners are on their way to the area and are going to go door to door-as we say if one person has seen the dog then others will have too.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've left a message on ansaphone for a friend who lives on a farm adjacent to the Pirbright ranges (pretty close to bisley ranges) And asked her to alert a neighbouring farmer. My friend breeds JR's and if he's picked up on the ranges someone might think he's one of hers and take him there. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jayne, Suggest you contact the NSRA who are based at Bisley. (the shooting crowd) They may know someone in the area who could help. Fultons the gunshop based on the NSRA site attracts the huntin'shootin'fishing bragade. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Extra details: Milo has a short docked tail and has a fondness for rabbit holes! Does anyone in this area have any tracker dogs that could assist owners in their search?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
