Indeed, dog was stolen and dumped. Thanks to Helen and the other local dog walkers who helped this lad yesterday and to Medivet coming to the rescue with a bit of board and lodging.

According to OP, owner has collected and dog reunited. Was apparently stolen. Hope the dog is chipped now via vets/rescue centre
