What a nice surprise, just about to do the various size posters and find he is now back home.  Well done to the finders and welcome home to one clever boy, great to see him going into the BLUE.  Jan Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yipee!!!  He has been found! He is a very lucky boy - had wandered a lot further than we ever anticipated he would and it looks like he had crossed a beck, but he had the sense to find the nearest door and wait till the owners got up this morning.  No wonder he could not hear us calling him today - he has been keeping cosy in front of an aga!  We are all so relieved and thank you for your help and advice.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi there everyone, Oh my god the relief!! I havent stopped crying which is why meg and peppers mum wrote the initial entry. Thank you all for your advice and help and may this website long continue. I can safely say that although he is sore and now dosed up with medication for his pain, he doest look too bad for his day and night frolicks!! Good luck to all others in their search and i am thinking of you all. Love Vix  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Can any one advise if there are any more tips in terms of senting the area?  The only reason I ask is that they seem to have covered a large area going on what information we have both from talking to people and paw prints.  I am just worried that we might need to scent a large area.
Thanks for any advice people can give x

Hi Vix. You're possibly doing it already, but keep going back to the spot where he went missing. Also leave an item of your clothing there as this will have your scent on it and will hopefully keep him in that area. Leave some food too, although this could obviously be taken by wildlife. Hope he's home soon xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi everyone, My beloved boy went missing yesterday after slipping his collar in a frenzy to get to a bitch that was on heat and roaming. Unfortunately the bitch returned at 5pm last night but we have had no sightings of my boy?? Because he slipped his lead there is no way of identification but he has crippling arthritis in his front left shoulder and will be lame. He normally has medication twice daily so because he has missed this he will be in a lot of pain. We live in Aberford and he went missing in the fields and woods that back onto hazelwood castle. Although i have postered the public footpaths and have walked endlessly there is still no joy!!! Can anyone help please Vix    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
