Its been 2 year 4 months now and still nothing,
Whats the hardest thing to except is you only get a dog as good as him once in a life time and we had so many shooting days ahead of us.

We would still get in touch Dave if we had any possible matches. I know it's been a long time but we've had dogs reunited after several years and he has his chip. I'll put him in The Countryman's Weekly magazine again as soon as possible. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Any updates on this little fellow. I nearly did a double take this afternoon a couple that live nearby me in Camblesforth have just got a dog and were walking out today with the dog and it was  just like Bluez but when I got up to them he seemed a little younger. Will keep an eye out for them again.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dont give up hope Dave. Have you given any flyers to local post offices and postmen/women. They travel around and see alot more than most other people. Have you tried getting a piece in your local newspaper. They ares oemtimes quite sympathetic. Good luckLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I was hoping to see him found soon but sadly not. We have some "pikeys" ( I think i know what you mean) in Camblesforth near us who have acquired over the last few months patterdales jack russells and go out nearly every Thursday night at 5.30pm or Sunday afternoon with about 10 dogs so wonder if they are going to the same place. Haven't seen a cocker though but will keep my eyes open. Howden isn't too far away from Camblesforth.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Kath.
hello dave, so sorry to hear that he's not home yet with you.... I live in Howden and I'm keeping my eyes open and wishing you some good news soon. I regularly go walking down Bellcross; but now too scared - I hate to say this but it looks like some horrible people r hanging out around there.... I heard last week that I women was punched to the ground down bellcross and her dog taken - have you heard that too ? could maybe find out who if it helps you?? Also heard that a load of dogs (30) had been found near Market Weighton at the weekend - taken off some pikeys who were using them for hunting. Maybe worth a quick ring round the local rescue centres again?? Hope you find him soon. KathLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm forever fearful of losing one of my 3 much loved working cockers and log in regularly in the hope you've got Bluez home. It sounds like you're doing everthing possible which must increase his chances. Don't give up hope of finding your boy - he's out there somewhere.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for all your help He was lost in the Belcross lane area (garden centre main road) I have been searching nearly none stop for the past 2 days, I have had my spaniel with me searching all his usual walks, training areas. He is trained to the whistle and a fully trained gundog. On the first night I found his collar with a flashing light still attached, it was undone, I feel that if he was able to come back to me he would, I have checked all the roadsides including the motorway, I will be doing a mail shot tonight. This dog is my life I am devastated.  Thanks everybody Dave  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dave, sorry to see Bluez is missing.  Thanks for registering his details on DL.  Can you upload photo/s a.s.a.p. or email to admin@doglost.co.uk (QUOTE ID 16753) any problems with a photo let us know.  We will do all we can to help you in your search.   You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed once a photo has been added by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).    Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  Great he is CHIPPED ensure you contact the Chip Co to report him missing and check your details are up to date. Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope he is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
