Fantastic to see Blue home, why don't people contact the DW or vets etc when they find a dog???? Baffling!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Last night Blues owners posted about 100 flyers all around the area, concentrating on built up areas and flats. They knew someone must have him as they had contacted every single source, and Blue had not been handed in.   Then this afternoon a call came from a young female who said she had seen a poster, and that she had found Blue on the night he ran away. Her parents would not allow her to keep him so she had passed him to a friend who took him in. She gave Blues owner the telephone number.   When owner made the call the guy said he had sold him to someone else as his parents would also not allow him to keep Blue. Owner insisted he get on to this person and get the dog back immediately, which fortunately he did, after some discussion. Owner said these kids should have gone to the police, but they are just so very happy to have Blue back safely, and he knows that if he hadnt have put all the posters up as quickly as he did, he would never have got Blue back.   Blue is ok, just a little shaken and was very very hungry !   A big thank you from him to everyone who helped get this much loved boy home.   Once again ? WELCOME HOME BLUE x   A lesson to everyone looking for their dogs ? Poster poster poster as quickly as possible, because this is how quickly dogs change hands and are moved out of area.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to hear about Blue.  As Yasa said, try Battersea but your area is also covered by the Mayhew Animal Centre in Willesden and you're also not a million miles from the Royal Veterinary College in Camden Town and the RSPCA Harmondsworth Hospital in Holloway.  If he has been hurt (hopefully not) he may be taken there and it's worth notifying them anyway as they keep a register of lost pets.

Sorry to see Blue is missing, escaped from the garden. Owner, thank you for registering him on Doglost. Please inform your Dog warden and Battersea Dogs Home, also the police, and vets in the area in case he is picked up. Since he has escaped from home, it is possible he may find his own way back. Please leave a way open for him to get back in, with some of his bedding and food, and an item of your clothing outside the door. Hopefully if he comes back during the night it will keep him there. There is a poster available for you to print off. Click on DOG POSTER 1 above the dogs details boxes top left and it will open. Please get as many posters up as quickly as possible. Place them in clear plastic sleeves to protect from the weather and put them absolutely everywhere. This is most important to get your dog back. You may need hundreds. Good Luck with the search and hope he turns up under his own steam.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
