He wasn’t claimed after 8 days and his details are with the RSPCA. He has gone to a local charity and is being cared for until he is well enough to be adopted. His skin has greatly improved and he is a very gorgeous little dog. Whoever gets to adopt him will be so very lucky.

its now day past 8th day when found dogs if not reclaimed are either taken in by a rescue or if you have phoned council and wanted to adopt the decision has been made. i am so looking forward to further info on this poor dog and hope it will be a wonderful happy ending

Everyone while the sight of this poor dog is disturbing, please kindly refrain from the thread of blame. The treatment for mange IS relatively low cost. I know because I was involved in a mange quarantine situation, treating and caring for the dogs.

However, we don't know the circumstances surrounding this little boy and mange and sores that bad are usually as a result of a long term lost dog.

I know that there is at least one person interested in adopting him, so let's be positive and hope that we soon recieve some good news about him.

@ Mendip Dog Warden - thank you very much for the update.

hi before he goes up for rehoming this little one will need ongoing care but he is feeling better and is a gorgeous dog. Just so very sad he has been allowed to suffer through not being treated with a treatment that would have cost less than £20.

Gigi what i do is ring the dog warden. may have been reunited. if not if u can adopt let them know. sometimes councils hand over to a rescue group if no owner or nobody wants to adopt.
