I have not heard from Dennis's owners yet but I do not believe they go online each day.  I'm afraid they always suspected Dennis may have passed away as a result of the accident he was involved in, and although I have not had this confirmed it is a possibility.  What a wonderful boy, I know he will be sorely missed. I have just received a sad email from Dennis's family saying 'We have lost one of our children....too soon......forever.  Our greatest thanks to all of those who cared enough to help.' It ends 'from all of us left behind'.  I have asked for details and sent our sympathies but will not be able to update until Monday.  I know his very loving family will be devastated to lose this wonderful boy.  Play happily at Rainbow Bridge lovely Dennis till you all meet again. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No news of Dennis today sadly.  Owner believes he has either been taken, been locked in an outbuilding or has collapsed somewhere.  It's a very remote area.  All avenues are being covered.  I do hope they will see him again, I know they are very worried about him indeed.  xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for the picture of Dennis on.   I came across another link which might also be another to check out . www..irishanimal.ie
select the lost and found dogs ( on the left ) then it will bring up options and you can select from different dog pounds. In there ( I had a look at the South Dublin one ) it also shows pics of dogs picked up each day. xxxHelen

Thank you for sending Dennis's picture - what a lovely boy he is!  You can now print posters by logging in and clicking on Dog Poster 1 at top of page on left.  Please everyone in area and in Newfie world, could you do the same and distribute as far and wide as poss.   Do hope he will be home safely very soon.  Owners have told me that he has been on local radio and they're hoping to get him on national radio.  It is unclear whether or not Dennis has a microchip.  Hoping for good news soon. xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks so much everyone for help.  I've spoken to owner who is v grateful.  Dennis has not been seen since the accident on Sat. 24th when he was seen running off down lane towards garden in an area he does not know.  This was a small road beside a by-pass, which he could not get onto as it is well fenced.  Area seems to be covered very well  - posters in Schools, pubs, POs, vets, RSPCA, Wardens, Police (Guards), Fire Brigade, etc. We are hoping to get picture soon.  Dennis could be shut in a barn or building, could have been injured or stolen.  He has not been seen at all.  Please stay safe Dennis till we find you. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
