- Please could all DogLost Helpers in the Beckenham BR post codes and nearby SE14 and SE26 PLEASE look out for Rosie. LouG have you posted mini flyers through all nearby doors and nearby roads for those people who do not drive or are preferring to stay mostly at home? Also you might like to change your poster to say STILL MISSING to bring peoples’s attention to the fact that Rosie still isn’t home. When our cat was missing we put up around 100 Missing posters and hand delivered flyers to all surrounding roads. We eventually found our cat tripping up the pathway of the Sloane Hospital in Albemarle Road. Hope it won’t be long until Rosie is back home with you.Last edited: 2021-09-16 00:07:32 by Millys Mum

- Sad to see that Rosie is still missing from the Beckenham (Kent) area despite 648 views. However, keeping everything crossed here in Beckenham that Rosie will be found very soon. Where is this beautiful tabby girl? Someone must know or spotted a tabby girl with white markings in their road or passing through their garden.

- I have suggested that Rosie’s worried owner, LouG contacts DL Admin to request that further emails are sent to nearby postal codes, as per her post below.
PS - LouG you will need to also contact DogLost Admin as they are not able to monitor every post and so may miss your request. Fingers crossed.Last edited: 2021-09-01 20:00:40 by Millys Mum - 2021-08-30 15:42 LouG

- LouG ...you have probably tried most of this but here are a few tips ....Check all outbuildings including empty houses, and cellars THOROUGHLY as some cats will hide in or behind an object within especially if timid. Cats can stay very still, and quiet in certain circumstances. They are renowned for it. Bear in mind too that cats have very flexible spines which rotates, so they can squeeze into very small spaces (About 2"/3" wide 7/7.5cm) So has she managed to climb into a partially opened window, and is now trapped? Exit can be difficult; depends on the drop. Check trees; any deckings too. Empty contents of the hoover onto the garden as her scent will be there; litter tray contents too. PLEASE DO NOT leave the litter box/tray out as other cats may use it, and it could confuse, and upset the cat. Put some tuna/sardines or chicken in her dish, and call him; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. (Just because you can`t see a cat, it doesn`t mean they aren`t around) Place her UNWASSHED blanket into a clean container along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe her scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract her attention. Take a good walk around the area, holding an object with her scent on, and rattle some Dreamies, someone maybe feeding her. (Common problem). When it`s nightfall, and you are searching use a strong torch as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. If possible post in shops; post offices too. And is there a dominant cat in the area? As sometimes they will chase a less confident cat out of their own territory. And the chased cat will not return until they think it`s "Safe" enough for them to do so. Post a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper in case she has climbed into a vehicle. which isn`t that uncommon for cats to do.

- Thank you Jenkins for forwarding the scam alert email (such horrible people for making a bad situation worse). LouG - I’m so pleased to see that you have now managed to register Rosie’s missing details on Dog!ost. It was me who had suggested it via our local Beckenham Appreciation Facebook group and hope that Rosie will now become the best known and ‘hottest tabby girl in town’. I know that you have been doing all that you can to find your much-loved family cat and so hope that by registering on here it will help DL Helpers to spread the word and report any possible sightings (possibly from a little further afield) if Rosie has hopped inside a supermarket delivery van or a tradespersons vehicle and then hopped out elsewhere. I received my email alert from DogLost this morning. Fingers crossed and good luck in finding her!Last edited: 2021-07-26 11:43:58 by Millys Mum
