Peteshouse, as new dogs come onto site the ones already there drop down the list. Dogs that have media coverage are bumped back to the top for awareness and also dogs where there have been sightings. That?s why some dogs that were lost some time ago can be back at the top. If you get any sightings of Poppy please let us know straight away and she will be bumped back to page one if she has slipped down the list. The same applies if you get any media coverage, let us know what paper she?s in on the day of publication.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Meg & Pepper
I have a file with the list of all the dog groomers in leeds on it - i will email this to DL admin and ask them to pass it on to you.
Get everyone you know to put a poster in their cars - its amazing how this catches peoples eyes.  Once my printer is back up and running I will put one in my car.
Email poster to schools and ask them to raise this in assembly - children can be really helpful.
I have emailed poster to all the vets on Yell.com in Leeds that had email addresses.
I am working away for a couple of days, but will do a bit more for you when I get home xxxx

We have contacted vets in Boston Spa Wetherby Tadcaster Garforth & Rothwell. The Selby & Leeds dogwardens & Dogs Trust. There are posters up in Stutton Towton Lotherton Hall Aberford Tadcaster. Dog Grooming contacts would be helpful if you have any.
Thanks again Claire

if you let me know who you have already contacted, I will check my mailing list and cover a few areas for you; i.e. vets, kennels etc further afield just in case someone has picked her up and taken her home.  DL - do we know if she can go in Countrymans weekly??  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Claire we thought the kennels there had closed down but will check it out.  We had thought about groomers so will try that next. The WFTA have been really helpful and are trying to get her details on their website so if someone realises what they've found and contact them for help they'll let us know.

Hi!
I am so sorry that poppy is missing, I know exactly what you are going through!
When meg and pepper went missing, we were told to take a poster to Bimbo Cottage on A64 - they have kennels there apparently and sometimes take dogs in (from roundabout at top of Aberford, its the first house on left as you are going in to Leeds).
Email your posters to as many boarding kennels as possible and I know it sounds daft, but as many dog groomers as you can.
If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know
Claire xx

Sorry to see Poppy is missing and I hope she is found asap. She could well have been taken in by well meaning people ... it does happen. It is important to get as many posters up in the area as possible -   If someone has taken her in the posters do help alert people xx Helen  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We have postered, contacted both Leeds & Selby Dog Wardens, visited local Dogs Trust and informed all local vets. She is missing in a fairly rural area and all farmers, dog walkers and riders  etc are aware but there have been no sightings and despite walking miles over the last few days no trace at all. We believe there is a chance she has been taken.

Peteshouse, sorry to see Poppy is missing.  Thanks for registering her details on DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  Can you upload photo/s of her or email to admin@doglost.co.uk (QUOTE ID 16853) any problems with photo/s let us know.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).    Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  Great she is Chipped do contact the Chip Co and report her missing and check your details are up to date.  Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope she is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
