Today we captured Poppy the Labrador in deep brambles on the embankment of Pickering Pasture, Widnes

It was a difficult capture as Poppy was an ex puppy farm dog who is very nervous and only with her family for 4 weeks - she had ran off a high bridge into brambles on a steep embankment.

Her family were incredible and the owner camped out all night and refused to go home

With a fantastic team of volunteers across multiple groups we pulled Poppy up the embankment to safety

Thank you to all the strangers that helped too
Jay scott who managed to get the lead finally on Poppy and to everyone of us who stayed there till 2am and back at 7.30am this morning

Poppy is doing really well though many of us have thorns in places we don’t wish to talk about

Thank you Bindis & Runcorn lost & found volunteers who go out at stupid times if the night , Jay Scott, Alison Thornhill Kristine Pluger Karen Randles Sam Jones Wese Humph Jan Major Sue Baldwin Georgina Rathbone and many others including random strangers too

We’ve got her
Poppy in Widnes who fell into the embankment
A tremendously difficult capture
After a very long 24 hours ( 2am still there )
Stuck in deep bramble we got her out of a very steep embankment full of bramble at the side of the Mersey
Huge thanks for the cutters, ladders etc

Way to go everyone fantastic result. Great to get the news she was finally rescued from the brambles. Amazing Team Work, Donna and Bindi's Lost & Found Pets CIC excelled once again. POPPY’s owner and family worked their socks off and followed advice, they and everyone has done POPPY proud. Great that POPPY actually barked so many trapped dogs don’t. Welcome back gorgeous enjoy your future with your lovely family.

Poppy has been barking on and off so we know where she is but haven’t as yet been able to get eyes on her. We know she is still in the brambles currently though. Thank you everyone who has supported x

BINDI’s are out in the area looking for POPPY. Barking has been heard in the area she went missing from. Keeping everything crossed she is found soon. 🤞🤞🤞

Her owners and family are work of hard to get POPPY back home. ❤️

Have updated the photo and added another one to the Extra Image box will also update the details and do a share post ASAP. Spoke to the AW’s and she was not with them, Owner has now reported her as missing now with them. Rooting for her to be found soon.
