  • Other Info This is a rescue dog we have just rehomed. Due to where she was before and her treatment there she is very anxious and scared of people. She didn't have a collar on as she escaped in a second when the door was open. She is chipped but names haven't been transferred to us yet. Please don't approach as she will run, stay close and we will collect her immediately. She probably won't answer to either name as she isn't used to having one previously

Sending love and hugs to Doris’ family who I know tried so hard to find her and get her to safety, RIP beautiful Doris I’m so sorry we couldn’t get you home safely. I’ve deleted all tweets and Facebook and Instagram posts, and emailed everyone I had contacted about her, I’ll also take down any posters I see when I am out with my dogs. I’m Heartbroken for you 🐾Last edited: 2021-08-12 18:54:25 by thedogfinder

I’ve emailed poster and caution do not chase message to: Dinosaur Golf, A1 Shooting Ground, Arkley Golf Club, construction firm at Valentines Farm, Dyrham Park Golf Club, The Shire Golf Club, Old Fold Manor Golf Club, Lewis of London Ice Cream Farm, The Green Dragon Pub, The London Horesplay Centre, Noah’s Ark Hospice, Wrotham Park Estate and on the other side of the A1 opposite (there’s a footbridge), Folia Europe plant nursery & The Mops & Brooms pub. I’ve stressed do not chase but to ring family immediately if seen, Ive asked all to display a poster . The poster has been shared on Facebook by Foulds School, and on Twitter by the Barnet SNT plus hundreds of retweets including local famous musician Paul Young, Amanda Barrie from Corrie and Jan Leeming ex newsreader - I've asked Barnet Times if they can do a piece so that the message gets out not to chase her or try and catch her. Hope this is helpful x

Had a look around today near A1,even went on part of the bridge to see if could see further over to wooded area. Some of the roads that have been done,as saw a few posters. Was around Trotters Bottom,Otherside of A1 too,as a few fields there. No sign today 😢
Clareh
Sighting on Sunday 8th August on the A1 heading northbound on the southbound carriage way. We believe she then headed off the A1 and onto a farm on Trotters Bottom. No further sightings since. If you see her please do not approach as she will run away.

Printed off more posters, going out again will search quinta fields and beyond, Barnet gate lane etc and back to arkley. Saw a post on fb saying she was heading back to barnet from arkley area, any update on sightings ?

Copied from the Facebook page: UPDATE 8/8/21 - Doris was last seen 2 days ago, running on the Barnet Rd - she is covering quite large distances so it's important we get a 5 mile radius postered asap. ‼️‼️ CAN YOU HELP PRINT OR PUT UP POSTERS? ‼️‼️ RING/TEXT 07922 383 968 or 07871 210 806 or please SEND US A MESSAGE via the Facebook page . I(Need to make sure the public know not to try and catch her, chase her or call her name. The best way to spread the word locally is with the posters so it’s urgent to get these out there - if you are local and are able to print a poster please use the one on the Facebook page, Lost Dog Recovery UK South are helping the family). Thank you everyone

Got an update from the family - several sightings in the Arkley area, heading back towards Barnet, please can anyone local put up posters? Paws crossed she will be found safe and well soon . Also, noticed another lost Beagle in N20 on 1st August (male), listed on another site and I am wondering if this could be the dog seen in fields at Totteridge? It didn’t say if he had been found yet. Worth noting that there may be two Beagles stray in similar location. Obv Doris / Karla is female and she has tan markings to her face and black markings to her back - the lost boy dog has tan either side of his head and body is mainly white, he is a pointer / beagle so looks larger than Doris / Karla, I just thought I’d mention it in case people are out searching and see him xLast edited: 2021-08-07 05:29:46 by thedogfinder

I’ve sent poster to Wood Street vet and East Barnet Vets and let them know the chip details are not up to date

Have just seen on Facebook that she went missing in fields close to Totteridge Academy School - this is postcode N20 9AZ - it’s close to The London Loop which runs along side Dollis Brook which is a popular place with local dog walkers etc. There is also the Grow Farm nearby which would be a poss hiding place. I have messaged the farm and will email the school - obv closed for the holidays but there are prob staff in. Have shared on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Praying she’ll be found soon xLast edited: 2021-08-06 20:15:42 by thedogfinder
