Spoken to owner now, bit of a story behind this, but basically the dogs DID NOT actually go through the rescue so no laws have been broken.  Owner thought they had been rehomed by the rescue but they were actually handed over to the people who had been looking after them by the finder rather than go into kennels.  Owner is not sure if the DW had been informed that they had been found as is unable to contact finder.   Really pleased that it has been clarified that the rescue did not rehome them before the 7 day ruling which was a big worry since getting the email very late last night.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am so pleased these two are home. Such attractive young ladies. Owners please do get them chipped and tagged.  I have to express concern here, however, as the rescue has broken the law by rehoming within the 7 day rule. I hope this is addressed so that it does not happen to someone else in the area, who may not be as lucky...judy

So relieved to see these two lovely girls are back where they belong.   Kennels did at least keep them together, but it beggars belief that they moved them on so quickly - I hope they've been told what subsequently happened and reminded of the law they broke.   Welcome home Lady and Nessa, yes, I do hope they get chipped, owners have been incredibly lucky this time.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

BRILLIANT news Lady and Nessa are HOME.  They were found locally by a young lad who took them to a local rescue, worryingly it seems they were sold before their 7 days were up.  A local girl saw their poster and contacted owner to tell them what had happened to them.  The couple who bought them were wonderful and had looked after them, owner has not long got home from picking them up.  All the family are over the moon to have them back home, they are so lucky to get both girls back together. Owners would like to pass on their thanks to DL for help and advice received.  Great to see this lovely pair going into the BLUE where they belong.  A big THANK YOU to their finder, the girl who contacted owner and the kind couple for looking after them.  Welcome home Nessa and Lady.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Photo/s now received and uploaded.  Nesa and Lady are litter sisters and very similar in appearance.  Once the posters etc start getting in the right places owners may well get the call we all like to see.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to owner, they have contacted St Helen's DW, checked with Halewood RSPCA and Leigh Cats & Dogs Home, have been postering and putting out flyers.  Both dogs were in the garden on Friday night, when owners went to get them they had disappeared.  Have given advice and advised they get some media coverage and try the St Helen's Star who have had excellent resuts in the past with dogs being found.  Owners should also visit Halewood RSPCA, Warrington RSPCA and Leigh Cats & Dogs Home or any other rescues at least once a week and not rely on phone calls alone.  If picked up in the area they could be taken to Halewood RSPCA.  DW's further afield should also be contaced.  Will email further advice to owners a.s.a.p.  They have said they will register on DL to leave updates.  Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
