Yes, fortunately Rufus and his lady friend stayed together, were picked up and kennelled together so both reunited. Thanks for your message Mel, I'm so glad they're both home. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Mel
I would like to thank you all very much for your support and to tell you that at 1.30pm this afternoon we contacted the Dog Wardens who said Rufus had been found and taken up to Gnosall Kennels,  He was apparently found on sunday evening but because the local kennels close at 5pm he was taken up to the Stafford one.
But he is home now, and in the dog house for a while.

Rufus was lost while on walk along the local canal towpath. He was playing with another dog and they ran off together down the towpath. They got off the at the Rollingmill Street bridge in Walsall and someone saw them heading Bridgeman Street in Walsall. The other dog is familiar with the area but Rufus isn?t.
The canal has been searched and routes that he normally walks, towpath down to James bridge, back down towards Walsall into the Sister Dora Cemetary, along the narrow alley that runs along side back into Pleck. The owner of the other dog has also gone from Rollingmill Street down to the next bridge at Wolverhampton Road and back down the main Pleck road towards Pleck but seen neither dog. Owner has contacted Sunnyside but dog wardens are not going out in the snow except if an animal was injured. They had not received any dogs in today and owner will be ringing again tomorrow. Not many posters up yet but some people have been informed. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
