Wow what brilliant news and wonderful of the people who noticed him on here so glad he's home now safe and well I cant recommend dogs being chipped enough it makes all the difference my Lurcher girls were found miles away from our home after being stolen and I was contacted the instant they came into contact with the dog warden xx

Giving Oscar a bump today - the weather has allowed his owners to make the trip down south to collect him and he has gone home with a new chip just incase he goes walk about again. Once again big thanks to RDR transporter for recognising him and for Julie for taking very good care of him until now.

This is just such FANTASTIC news !!! well done to the RDR transporter and to Julie for alerting us and his owners ! It just goes to illustrate how quickly a dog can pass through the system and end up many miles away in rescue. welcome home Oscar and stay safe from now on xx Pam

I will just say that the kennels mentioned is not RDR but a rescue kennels working with RDR who are local to me but who prefer to remain low key - they take dogs from RDR after the 7 day ruling and gives them a chance of a new home, but all that aside, well done all round, to RDR for getting him out and securing a rescue place, to the local kennels checking Doglost otherwise Oscar may have been lost in the system. The kennels have recommended him coming home with a nice microchip fitted which I am sure his owners will take up.

Oh my goodness.   Well, what a relief.   Yes, massive thanks to Julie at the kennels for checking the site, and once again DogLost Rocks!   Can't imagine how he would ever have been found otherwise, what a lucky lucky boy.   And lucky lucky owners.   Please, owners, can he now have a chip, it isn't a guarantee but it helps!

As the crow flys its about 150 miles - thankfully he was taken out after doing his 7 days at stray kennels and moved to a kennel working with Rochdale Dog Rescue, what a lucky boy and he'll be very well looked after where he is now until his owners can pick him up

It's confirmed that we have Oscar. His owners will be collecting him as soon as possible but with the weather as it is, and the distance involved, we will obviously keep him for as long as necessary. He's a lovely boy and has no problems with being kennelled.

We work with Rochdale Dog Rescue and think that we have Oscar. I have spoken to his woners and am sending them photos to confirm.

Lynmart sorry to see Oscar is missing, thanks for registering his details on DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  Great you have uploaded a photo.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).   How has he gone missing, was it from home or on a walk?  Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.   Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope he is found soon.  Jan x
