My family used to live in Mottram many moons ago and I know Broadbottom.  This will be Mottram-in-Longendale (not Mottram St. Andrew which is nr Prestbury). Broadbottom is about 4-5mls from Stalybridge, Hyde and Glossop & 10mls from Manchester. The roads are probably very busy now. There was a viaduct, fields, river and railway.  Posters could be put up at the Rlwy Stn. Do hope little Spike will be safely home very soon.  We don't know how old you are but stay safe little boy till you are found. xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
