From Maddie's FB group:
"Update: MADDIE HAS BEEN FOUND AND IS NOW SAFE WITH HER MAM AND DAD! My dad received a call this morning at around 5:15am explaining that she was located in a bush hiding around the fields behind the church area. The dog walker took her back his home to keep her warm and maddie is now on her way back to Gateshead! We want to thank everybody who shared the posts to help look for her at all hours of the day. To the people that called to say they had seen/heard her around Meggie’s burn thank you and this helped narrow our search down to an accurate location and gave us so much hope she was alive and not stolen. We are so so grateful for everybody and I can’t wait to give her a big cuddle and get her warm ❤️".

Update: hello all maddie is still not found, we slept over at the last known spot in case she came back from the scent but no luck. We have placed various missing posters in the area we think she has ran off to (inland rather than the beach) although it is possible she may try and make her way back to the fish and chip/coffee/ice cream shop as we have given her food multiple times from around there and she will be very hungry by now. We have also left a t-shirt laying around (plain navy blue) so please do not try to touch just in case as it has a strong scent from that afternoon she strayed off. Please continue to look from her in and around bins, alleys, sheds, garages or in any bushes. Thank you all for your concern and if anybody does have maddie please return her as she is spayed and chipped. My husband has roamed the streets all night in the area she may have been last seen and still nothing so we hope and pray she’s warm and safe❤️ thank you everybody
