- Hi, NickK have followed up re the FOUND with the Wardens that you commented on (DL 183941) also sent you a direst msg. The Wardens have confirmed it is not FLOSSIE. It is great you have her chip number on DogLost as when the Animal Wardens register FOUND dogs they also add the chip number, I do run checks to see if there is any chip matches for dogs also on DogLost. Keeping everything crossed FLOSSIE is back home with you soon. ❤️

"The 2nd September 2021 didn’t start like any other day. I had a broken leg that had required surgery and I was struggling to get around. In an effort to get out we had hired a wheelchair. We drove to Seaton Sluice, where a path winds through the sand dunes, parked the car and set off with Flossie - Nick pushing me, Flossie off the lead like so many other dogs that day. On our way back to the car, and just seconds after Nick said, “we’d better put Flossie on the lead, we’re getting close to the road”, she walked into bushes, a tennis ball in her mouth, and we never saw her again. When Nick went into the bushes to see why she wasn’t coming back he found the tennis ball, lying in the grass. The image of her calmly walking into the bushes with her ball is so strong in my mind. It hurts still to recall it. One year has passed. One year of trying so hard to find her, almost to the point of breakdown. And not just me and Nick. Some incredibly generous people have helped us through this year in so many ways. I sometimes daydream about her homecoming - the call from the Police or the animal shelter, the ecstatic drive to collect her and seeing her sweet face once again. I hope it will happen. I don’t know if it ever will".

- Hi Maglab. Many thank for looking out for Flossie. We checked with Cheltenham - unfortunately, it’s not Flossie.
- 2022-01-09 20:36 Maglab
- Contact Jenny Cole of Cheltenham animal shelter. Came up on face book I think could be Flossie but it only had a photo of head n shoulders. It didn't state male or female. unfortunately I don't seem to be able to find it again.

- Six weeks tomorrow since Flossie went missing. I cry for her every day but try to be positive and hope that somehow we are reunited - one way or another. Not knowing what happened to her is torture. A nightmare we can’t wake from. Maybe she got stuck down a rabbit hole but there are hundreds if not thousands in the area she went missing. Maybe she was taken, but no one saw anything or knows anything. Maybe she’s running scared and living rough but no one has seen her. Please keep looking for our little dog.
- 2021-10-02 10:39 NickK
- Still no sightings of Flossie - now over four weeks. So longing to have her with us again. Where are you Flossie?
- 2021-09-24 10:10 NickK
- Flossie is missing for three weeks now. We miss her and long for her return. Where she is and what she may be going through tortures us every day. Please keep looking for her.
- 2021-09-20 09:34 NickK
- Please, if you know where Flossie is, let us know. We are still searching. We’ve had no sightings of her and wonder if she’s been picked up by someone. If you know where she is please help her to get home to us.

- Flossie went missing two weeks today. We are aching with grief at not knowing where she is or what has happened to her. People are still working hard to locate her but no sightings.

- Thanks for flagging the FB page. I should have done that but not thinking straight. Thanks everyone who is taking an interest. We are still searching for Flossie.

- Silly of me to ask cos I know you must have tried it already, but maybe Flossie will make her way back to the trust centre or her original home?
- 2021-09-12 13:15 NickK
- Still desperately searching for Flossie - 11 days missing. Our community is continuing to raise awareness with posters and flyers and we have a feature in the local press. Longing for a sighting we can work on.

- I have put up posters in the Seaton Sluice area and the Car Park attendants that I spoke to at Fountain Head roundabout are aware of her bed and keeping an eye out for her. Keep us all updated.

- Still no news about Flossie, missing four days now. Please look out for her. She is wary of noisy urban areas so maybe more likely to be in a rural area or on a beach. She may be trying to make her way home from Seaton Sluice to Tynemouth.Last edited: 2021-09-06 19:21:56 by NickK

- Sorry to see that FLOSSIE STILL MISSING is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (169504)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
