Great news! We’re pleased to report that two Doberman dogs, which disappeared from a property near Gloucester earlier this week, have now been found.
Bear and Poppy were suspected stolen from a farm on the outskirts of the city after last being seen on Wednesday (1 September).
Earlier this evening (Saturday 4 September), both dogs were spotted in the Painswick area by members of the public, who had seen the appeal on our Facebook page. They were able to keep the dogs safe until officers arrived at the scene.
The dogs will now be reunited with their owner. We would like to thank all those who shared our appeal and particularly the members of the public who found them.

Oh dear. Hoping these dogs are found safe and soon. I just don’t understand how people have dogs and then keep them outside. Particularly in these times of such high dog thefts. Not that they are any safer indoors it seems. xx

The dogs are described as being a male and female Doberman who are black and tan in colour. Pepper, the female dog, is two-and-a-half years old and Bear, the male dog, is three years old.
