- Please note Chief is a Mioritic Shepherd dog and as such has the capability to travel a significant distance.
Latest update from his dedicated page is to share across a wide area:
❌08/12 - SHARES NEEDED❌
📲CallText 07714 881 720 / 07714 876 797
We have reason to believe Chief has moved on a significant distance. This is not unusual for the Mioritic Shepherd breed.
📍HE NEEDS SHARES ACROSS THE FOLLOWING AREAS AND ALL LOCAL COMMUNITY SITES INBETWEEN:
DONCASTER-CASTLEFORD-BARNSLEY-WAKEFIELD-HALIFAX-HUDDERSFIELD-SHEFFIELD-BUXTON-ROCHDALE
Sighters have previously described him as a Lurcher/Collie Cross/Beaded Collie as they are unaware of the Mioritc breed. So please keep an eye on social media posts for sighted dogs described like this!
IF YOU SEE HIM:
❌DO NOT APPROACH - We need him calm and HE WILL RUN and move on if he believes he is in danger from humans.
❌DO NOT CALL, CHASE or TRY TO GRAB HIM
✅Note the time, location and direction of travel
✅Call / Message us with details IF SIGHTINGS ARE POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA WE MIGHT NOT SEE THEM
As a Mioritic he is genetically bred to guard livestock and is of no threat to them himself, he would consider them his pack.
Thermal and remote cameras are in use. The team have the equipment to bring him in safe but sightings are needed.Last edited: 2021-12-10 17:25:54 by Owl - 2021-12-08 15:36 Vizslamum

- Further info from owner says there has been confusion between places, and it is not Harworth but Holmfirth. So please send out relevant alerts to Holmfirth area.

- A dog of Chief's description has been spotted between Harworth Bircotes and Blyth. It's just under 30 miles from where he went missing, so quite possible given the length of time involved. Please may we have alerts sent out to the new area?

- Sorry to see that CHIEF MISSING 2 YEARS TODAY is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (169544)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
