Marty's owner travelled to collect him yesterday and tell me he is absolutely fine and thankfully unphased by his adventure 🥰

Not quite home yet but Marty has been located. His owner took a call from a rescue centre in Wokingham that found him tied to their railings and made contact through his chip 😳
Whoever 'stole' him ........he is a very much loved and well cared for family member. It is not your place to determine otherwise!

I'm just wondering if he lived outside and was permanently tethered. As there was no damage to cord or clip and no mention of the collar being left behind I wonder if someone who knew he lived outdoors took him. Still theft of course but a lot of dog lovers are against that or an opportunist thief

Folly - exactly my first reaction. I will never understand why anyone for any reason, keeps a dog outside. For me it would be akin to fastening my kids up outside. Sorry. Hoping he is found safe and soon. xxxLast edited: 2021-09-11 21:45:40 by Vizslamum

Do you mean he was left tied up in the garden?

The dog warden and local vets are aware Marty is missing and he has been flagged as missing with the microchip company. It is very unlikely that Marty would go off and would return if he had. Posters are going up and neighbours being asked to check cctv/ring doorbells
