From the rescue page “ Edie is back safe. Thanks to all who went out for sightings and posters - you know who you are. Special thanks to Nick for his trap and camera. It’s how we knew she was home. And to the staff at Davyhulme sewerage works where she had been hiding out with the myriad of wildlife there. They truly went above and beyond to give us access to lay food and traps, with the whole site keeping an eye out for her. A reminder there are good, caring people in the world.
Edie also traveled across built up areas and busy roads and this could easily have been a different outcome. Only last week we sent another email to all adopters reiterating all the risk points and what is needed to keep scared dogs safe. When a dog goes missing not only is it’s life in danger, it is a huge stress and drain on our resources and small team. We have spent hours at the sewage plant and out spotting on top of caring for every dog here. We can only hope every adopter takes the time to read the document in full, it has proven rules and tips for keeping a scared dog safe. Please make sure there is discussion with family members too. It only takes a split second for a dog to fly out of the door. ”
