If a dog is collected by the warden she becomes the property and responsibility of the council. The warden will have scanned before taking to the designated kennels if the owner couldn't be contacted.
If unclaimed after 7 days she could be signed over to a rescue centre for rehoming. As long as contact details on the chip registration are correct and flagged as missing the owner would be contacted.

I have sent general advice and scam warning via email, I hope this helps.

Hi, just a quick question about the rescue centres re homing after 7 days. Would they not scan the dog and see that she is reported missing from the tag? We have a rescue centre close by but they say nothing has come in. Would it be worth still checking?
