Yes local vets informed and they have chip details and my number.Police are now treating the incident as blackmail as well as theft. Hope poice can help. Not sure how to contact dog warden. Chip company is unfortunately in Spain.

Michael, we have been liaising on e-mail, I am sure from your description that the calls were the scammer; known to us. Calls owners with only information from websites and social media, won't send a photo, number withheld. There is more information about this on the e-mail you received when you registered Capi

Thanks Jenny. There was no offer of a photo so I think you're right. As I'm an elderly pensioner and alone, the dog is a lifeline to me. So ... rather vulnerable. And right now rather distraught.
