Bumping due to the fact that hare coursers are in our area again and Tammy could be dumped as she is getting to the age where she will be of not much use.

Thank you Sue. It was a year ago yesterday that they were stolen along with Peg who we found last month. Let's hope this brings a result.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Crossposted ... thought this might be worth following up for this dog? Two whippet type dogs were found yesterday afternoon in Shepshed one is grey with white chest and socks, the other is brindle colour.  They were found the top end of Shepshed which is not far from junction 23 so could have been dumped from anywhere.  Neither had collars on they have been taken to College Garth Kennels in Hathern which is near Loughborough.  Their telephone number is 01509 842327.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Speak to the "sites" lliason officer via local coucil. Insist they go to all sites looking for these stolen dogs. Give them the van reg. It is an important part of their job. Another good thing...POSTER’s on their gateposts work well. Dogs are often found within hours wandering locally if" they" think you are on to them..Good luck

the dog i enqiured about on the hunting life wasnt her but so very close a lady we spoke to through the internet has just rung us tonight saying some irish travellers are stopping near her an they have a white van. but today a dog which was stolen at the beginning of feb (ruffly same time as ours) has just been handed to a rescue centre from near them and it belonged to a woman at mansfield which isnt to far down the road from us she has gone to have a look at the van registration at the irish travellers  to see if its the same as the one we have and to see if it could be those who took our dogs. this thursday also stow horse fair is on and they always have a number of dogs there and many travallers have told us ours are most likely to turn up there but were not sure if we can make it there or not yet due to workLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just spoken to owners of this dog. They are doing all the right things to find her and the other 2 dogs that were stolen by 3 men in a large white van. The police have been informed, Lincs FM have put out an appeal and they have advertised in all the local newspapers. They are also sending details to rescue centres as far away as Leicestershire. Have sent contact details for Lincolnshire and the surrounding counties.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
