- Hiya, she went to a place called Pond Farm Kennels in Bexley, kent. its holds the stray animals for one day and if no one collects them after that they get sent to Battersea. Luckily we found er before that happened. Thanks again for all your kind wishes - and Lola is glad to be back home and safe, Martina xxxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- That's just wonderful news! Martina, I'm so pleased that Lola is back home. What a kind lady to take her in and make sure that she was safe. Out of interest, what kennel did she go to? Was it an overnight 'holding' kennel before they are transferred to Battersea? I bet she was excited to see you. Welcome home precious girl!

- Lola has been found!!! Thanks for all your lovely messages, but we have now found her. She was in a nearby close and a lady found her and took her to the vets. The vet couldnt find her micro chip and advised to take her to a kennels, where she stayed over night. If we didnt pick her up today they would of sent her to Battersea - so lucky we did. We put posters and flyers all over the neighbourhood, which is how the lady who found her knew how to contact us, so all the hard work tryign to find her paid off. Thanks again everyone for your concerns Love Martina and Lola xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Meant to ask, what road, park or area of Orpington did Lola go missing from?

- So sorry to hear that Lola is missing. As Shelties Mum has said, because of her age, she can't have gone too far and so it's best to start off with speaking to as many neighbours as possible. Hand deliver mini-flyers (let us know if you would like us to provide them) through each and every door and ask all neighbours to check their gardens, garages, swimming pools, sheds and outbuildings as a matter of urgency. Because the weather has been mild, Lola may have gone into a shed or garage when people's backs were turned, found an interesting and cosy place to sleep and become shut in. It is imperative in the early days to cover as much ground as possible and as soon as possible. Just make her the best known and hottest girl in town. It's too late to call you tonight but I will try to contact you tomorrow afternoon but hope Lola comes home in the meantime.

- 13 is quite old for a sheltie and I doubt she'll be very far. More likely to be in someone's garden, even catching her wouldn't be too difficult at that age. Posters should be put in every nearby street and even through people's doors. Hope the dog warden's been notified and Battersea. love Sylv xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
