When tomorrow starts without me and I'm not there to see
The sun will rise to find your eyes are filled with tears for me
When tomorrow starts without me, understand you must
An angel came and called my name, in her I placed my trust
Perhaps God tires of always calling the aged to His fold
And so He picks a rosebud before it can grow old
God knows how much we love them and so He picks but few
To make the land of heaven more beautiful to view
When tomorrow starts without me you?ll ask yourself, but why?
For the saddest words that mankind knows will always be "good-bye"
But I?ll still be watching over you, never to depart
When tomorrow starts without me, I?m still there in your heart i am so sorry xx  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Ann and Richard - I am so very very sorry to read this. I know there are no words to comfort you, and little Mac was just a baby. I wish we could have found him safe and well for you. Thank you for letting us know. I will switch him to Rainbow Bridge, and the reunited pages. Run free little one. Bless you Mac x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It is with much regret that we have to report that our little dog Mac has been found, as we suspected, in the river about a mile from where we last saw him.  Sunday was a very sad day for us but we are very  grateful to the man that found him.  He is now buried in our garden and at least we know what happened to him.  Thank you all for helping us with your advice.  Ann & Richard EdwardsLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It was about 2 weeks before there was a sighting of my Bubbles and after that she travelled quite a distance but stayed within about a mile and a quarter. You shouldn't give up just look further afield. Have you got a poster in W'sey library?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I agree with mab grandma. Such a sweet little dog, and someone could just have picked him up and kept him. You really need hundreds of posters all areas. Someone may know something. I really feel for you, but do please go all out with your publicity. Good Luck xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You really should contact the Evening Telegraph and the Fenland Citizen. I met a lady from Whittlesey recently and she had never seen a poster of Mac so the message isn't getting round.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Things are looking really bad now. It has now been two weeks since we lost Mac and although we have not completely given up hope we are finding it very hard not to do so.  We would ask that if anyone finds him DEAD or Alive please let us know so that we can have closure rather than always being on the lookout down by the river where we last saw him.  If he was taken by the current he could  possibly have floated down way past the town of March and even Wisbech so we do need to look far and wide and accept whatever this shows up.      Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is now day nine and we have had no reported sitings of our little Mac. We have had a few false leads which proves that people are still aware of him being lost but hope is now fading for his recovery.  Thank you all for caring.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If the River is a possibility it might be worth getting some large (A3 or A2) laminated posters (Print shops will do this for you) and putting them where boats stop or moor, or boatyards. The handouts is a great idea too say 4 to an A4 page then people can keep in their pockets.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The Fenland Citizen are veryhelpful to us and if you send photo and story so far they will prob feature it for you. Good Luck with your search.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If you have any of the small flyers you could hand them out in town. In the past I have given them to people buying dog food in the supermarkets and to dog walkers.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Petsearch number is  0135 4661887. When my little Bubbles was loose I had quite a bit of response from the column in the paper. Good luck.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Is the canal part of the River Nene or one of the fen drains? Lots of boats use the waterways so he could have been picked up by a boat if he was spotted alone on a towpath. Is he small enough to have gone down a rabbit hole?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have a look on Peterborough.net and see if there is anywhere on the site where you can mention Mac. Petsearch has a column in the Fenland Citizen every week. Can't remember her number but her name is Marian Sutton and she lives in Chatteris. Will look it up for when I am next here.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Lite FM, BBC Cambridgeshire and Hereward. Cards in supermarkets are worth doing as lots of people read them. Good Luck.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We are still searching for MAC to no avail.  If you live within a twenty mile radius of Whittlesey please keep looking. There is a substantial reward awaiting anyone that can return him to us.  Regretably he was not chipped so if you buy a puppy please take our advice and get it chipped ASAP.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Mab can you please give me the names of the 3 local radio stations so I can pass them on to the owner.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There are three local radios so they are all worth a try. Also email a picture of Mac to the Evening Telegraph's letter page they might print it for you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just spoken to owner. Mac was walking along the canal bank, a route he knows very well, when he just disappeared. There was only one other person around at the time and he helped to search for Mac. The canal was flowing very fast that day so he could have fallen into the water and been carried off in the direction of March. The council has been contacted, 100 posters have been put up and there has been an appeal on the local radio station. Mrs Edwards has asked me to tell you that there will be reward paid to the finder of Mac.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

When I can get a poster I will put it up in P'boro market and Wilkinsons. If you still have a pet shop in W'sey get one put up there and in your local vets.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
