So sorry Barney. Happy times at Rainbow Bridge. High up in the courts of heaven today
a little dog angel waits;
with the other angels he will not play,
but he sits alone at the gates.
"For I know my master will come" says he,
"and when he comes he will call for me."
The other angels pass him by
As they hurry toward the throne,
And he watches them with a wistful eye
as he sits at the gates alone.
"But I know if I just wait patiently
that someday my master will call for me."
And his master, down on earth below,
as he sits in his easy chair,
forgets sometimes, and whispers low
to the dog who is not there.
And the little dog angel cocks his ears
and dreams that his master’s voice he hears.
And when at last his master waits
outside in the dark and cold,
for the hand of death to open the door,
that leads to those courts of gold,
he will hear a sound through the gathering dark,
a little dog angel’s bark.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have phoned Barney's owner for an update. Barney is still missing ,no more sightings recently. Local vets & DWs have been informed .All  resues around the NW London area including Battersea have been alerted. Barney was in the local newspaper last week & will be going in The Ham & High this week.Hoping that this will bring some information on his whereabouts. Thanks for your offer of help here elisabetb , any postering would be a great help. StephLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Do we know if Barney has been found/come home yet? If not, I live in the area so would be happy to help with posters, checking vets, or the different rescues around. Best Lisa  Posted by elisabetb on 17/2/2009Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Do we know if the owners have checked with Battersea? All local vets should be checked too - is Harmondsworth anywhere near? (the one that used to be featured on tv with Rolf Harris). Posted by Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum on 10/2/2009 There were two entries on Doglost for Barney which could lead to things being missed so I have put all the helpers posts on this one page ,hence the added dates etc.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Does Barney know the area he has gone missing in? Would suggest his owners check with Battersea if they haven't done so already. Also local taxi companies would be worth notifying.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just spoken to owner. There had been sightings earlier on of Barney but nothing more recently. Posters are being put up everywhere & the search area increased.Vets , DW etc informed & the microchip company is aware. Barney could be trying to make his way further North. Please, if anyone is in this area , keep a look out for him & if you can help with postering we can email  the various size posters to you. Thanks.Steph    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
