Did you ever contact the vets or kennels in Bartley (if any) to see if they have ever treated / boarded a dog of Shane's description?

shane was last seen in greenlane which is a gravel track off beechwood road in the village of bartley. a horse rider saw him there was a women with a border collie not sure if she picked him up,he did have a collar on with id.if you could keep an eye out that would be great,i still do visit area every day as i walk my other dogs close to there many thanks carol

i was wondering (sorry if i've missed it) where exactly was he last sighted? i live in Shirley, southampton so quite close to the home of Shane, but i am also frequently visiting my grandparents in the new forest, if that was where he was last sighted. i know it's been a long time since his disappearance but i could still keep an eye out.

Dear Shane has been missing for 1 year now. There have been no more sightings or news other than the possible sighting of Shane being picked up by a lady with a Border Collie very near to where he went missing.This lady has not contacted anyone  at any time even though posters were up everywhere & still are.

hi stef, just got your message on answering machine,yes i did notice on the other dogs page the man has had the dog about 6 months so wasnt shane.thanks for following that up for me.went to local paper in the week they are going to do a story and picture of shane in the next couple of days so lets hope this will bring shane home.i have put ?500 reward.lets hope if someone has got him they see the paper it is in.thanks again.will let you know if i have any luck

Hi Carol. Thanks for the update. I'm sorry that there have been no sightings as yet. Keep going with the scenting, it can sometimes take a while for a routine to take hold. It might be an idea for you to phone the rescues instead,that way you can get an immediate response.

hi,stef up date on shane,have tried scenting where shane was last seen no luck yet.no sightings either.i have had problems with the rescue homes email addresses you kindly sent me most come back saying incorrect email address.could you try them for me when you get time and any other ones,getting really worried in case shane has been handed in miles away.thanks again

Have just spoken to Shane's owner. There were a couple of sightings on the day Shane went missing. A horse rider saw what was very likely to be Shane barking at a woman with a collie who had parked near to where Shane is normally walked. If this Collie owner did see Shane could they please contact the number on the posters.There have been no other sightings since. Posters have been put up everywhere . All surrounding DWs informed as well as vets.It could be that someone has picked Shane up & taken him in or it might be that Shane is still on the run. I have emailed some postering suggestions & scenting instructions incase Shane is just avoiding people but still out there in the New Forest somewhere. Owner has tried to call all surrounding rescues ,I am going to send a list of those that we have in case any have been missed. Come on Shane , lets have a sighting of you.
