- Brilliant news - I have a great mental image of a little head popping up, well done to the finders for making him safe and reuniting. Importance of postering the area shows once againLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- NIP IS BACK HOME !!!!!!!! Just received call from owner to say Nip was brought back today. There was a shoot and someone saw his head pop up in the heather. They got the owners details from a poster and took him home. He is thinner, but happy to be back. The other dogs are glad to have him back in the fold. It's made my night. Welcome home Nip xxxxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Photo reloaded and cropped to bring closer. Nip looks like an English Springer Spaniel to me if he definately is a Cocker Spaniel maybe owner should also check for ESS in rescues as well. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Contacted owner for more information. Nip escaped around lunchtime with one of their other dogs. The other dog returned home approx 24 hrs later but Nip is still missing. The area is VERY rural and approx 5 miles from High Force Teesdale which is a tourist spot. Nip is a semi-working dog and they have informed all the local farmers ( and asked them to check their buildings, the gamekeepers in the area have been notified , they have also put posters up in the area and put into the pubs ( as they do get quite a few walkers in there). The dog warden has been contacted and adverts put in the local papers. They have also been contacting the stray kennels. There has been no news of Nip sadly. There are "shoots" in the area so suggested making contact with the organisers if possible and to try get an ad on BASC website. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
