ALS ....thanks very much for the update and this is fantastic news for Zac and obviously the finder's neighbour. Seems to be a match made in heaven.

SHARING >>>>>>>>>>>>>UPDATE on found Male British Bulldog. His name is Zac.
Using his chip number I managed to find his last known keeper.
This was a rescue in Kerry, Ireland in June 2021. I contacted them.
He has been transferred to the care of a Scottish Rescue and was in
temporary foster when he was lost in a today.
He is a wee rescue looking for a foster / permanent home!
The finder did everything by the book including incident number with the Police. The finders neighbour just recently lost their own dog to old age.... yes, you guessed it - a bulldog. They have formed an instant bond with Zac.
With permission from the Finder, The Police and The Rescue, Zac will be fostered by the finders neighbour, pending home checks etc - but this just all seems like fate and a bit of a Christmas Miracle for Zac.
Thank you all for sharing, please close all posts now as he is safe and well and home with permission from all those with a vested interest and responsibility for his care.Last edited: 2021-12-27 20:29:10 by ALS

Copied from Lost Dogs in Glasgow facebook page "We are becoming increasing concerned for the owner of a found dog. The post has been online for 3 hours now and the dog has not been identified.
Male British Bulldog.
He was wearing black Baskerville Muzzle, Blue Harness and Collar and Leash still on, hence the concern for the owner.
Found on Muirdyke Road, this is rural road surrounded by farms. The road links Glenboig, Glenmavis and Cumbernauld. Just north of Coatbridge, Airdrie in Scotland. Postcode ML5. All local roads were checked at the time and visits to all the local farms.
Please share to all local community groups and wider.
The dog is safe with the finder. Fed and watered, he is super friendly.
We believe he is neutered.
I scanned him. Pettrak said his chip was unregistered. We will follow and leads we can, implanter, vets etc. We also tried to call local vets but they are closed today.
Reported to Police etc. Warden service closed but will be contacted tomorrow"
