Email from one very happy owner: Hey Jan   There's been some great news, we found Jess and she's ok.   She was accidently locked in a caravan the whole week and a half. Took her for a check at the vets and all seems okay so looks like a happy ending finally.   Thanks for all your help   Thanks for letting us know, poor little Jess but great to see she is now back home with you, give her an extra big cuddle from everyone on DL.  Welcome home Jess.  Jan x

Spoken to owner's again.  They contacted the RSPCA and the only dog they had taken to them from the mentioned area was a Cross Collie.  Discussed others places and things for owner to do, they have contacted local DW and Oldham DW, advised they go as far afield as poss with the DW's and rescues, also visit in person and not rely on phonecalls or Chip being read.  Chip Co have been informed and contact details updated.  Explained how to register on DL and post updates.  Will do various size posters a.s.a.p.   Thanks goldenfrodo for your help, will send you the usual posters shortly.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
e mail received at HQ:    I am unable to load pages on doglost so I cannot log in. Im emailing because I saw there is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Jess) missing in the North West, Dog ID 17237. I got my friend to load the page for me and send me the link.
Yesterday a small slim young Cavalier was found in my village running in and out of traffic and was taken to Oldham RSPCA. It was either black and tan or black and white. I know Oldham isnt too close to Salford but dogs have been found further away so I thought it was worth mentioning just incase.
 Kind Regards
 Hannah

Owner, sorry to see little Jess is missing.  Thanks for sending her detals to Admin, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  I've converted photo from a word doc.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be registered and logged in).    Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  Great she is CHIPPED do contact the Chip Co and report him missing and check your details are up to date. Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope she is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
