- Below are general advice on how to help find a missing cat. When searching for your cat, wear the same deodorant say that you use on a day to basis as he will recognize the scent and your the one he truss. Albeit cats have a very strong smell and can smell from quite a distance away, it always pays to reinforce it, I think. He may have taken refuge in someone`s garden where he was lost, so poster in that area too. Also take some warm chicken with you if you can, and/or some Dreamies. Paws xd. Keep us posted xLast edited: 2022-01-05 14:10:35 by TrudielovesMax!

- Check all outbuildings including empty houses, and cellars THOROUGHLY as some cars will hide in or behind an object within especially if timid. Bear in mind too that cats haver very flexible spines do has he managed to climb into a partially opened window, and is now trapped? Exiting can be difficult; it depends on the drop. Check trees; any decking too. Place his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with you scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on all your garden fences; gates doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Empty contents of the hoover onto the garden, as his scent will be there; litter tray contents too if used. DO NOT leave the litter box/try outside as other cats may use it, and it could upset, and confuse the cat. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention. Just because you can`t see a cat, doesn`t mean they aren`t around. Take good walks around the area holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Someone may be feeding him (Common problem) And is there a dominant cat in the area? As sometimes they will case a lees confident out of it`s own territory. However the chased cat will not return until the think it`s "Safe" enough for them to do so. Also has there been any changes in the household such as a new pet for instance as some cats will feel let out, and "Pack their bags" and leave home. Cats dislike change of any kind. Poster area., and post flyers through doors too. Remember with cats it`s usually all about scent. Paws xd Last edited: 2022-01-05 07:02:31 by TrudielovesMax!
