Just a quick update the local paper was going to do a story about our little Gizmo the reporter rang today to say the story would be in tonights paper & was their any more news. I told her Gizmo was home she hadn't checked her e mails before ringing. I told her the story of how I had registard with the site & how wonderfull you all are such support  I had received well she took the details down the sites address & all that you do she is now going to ask the Editor if she can do a story about how the website helps people like me. So fingers crossed he will say yes. Jack & I will be going shopping over the weekend for a new collar for Gizmo as the person who had him changed his Black very shiney patent leather one to a cheap & nasty blue plastic with most of the fake diamonds missing off it. I will keep you posted about the sory as soon as I hear anything. Thank you again for all you did Liz Jack & GizmoLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

WOOO HOOO this has made my night, THANK YOU so much for letting us know so quickly.  I will move him into the BLUE with pleasure.  The posters really do work and make them TOO HOT TO HANDLE.  Well done for getting them out and spreading the word.  So pleased he is back with your son and we would love to see a REUNITED photo, it really will finish his page off.  Hope you now stay on DL and look out for missing dogs in your area and give advice to others in the same position you have been in.  Welcome home little Gizmo and look after your master now he needs you.  Jan x Thanks again Debbi_Jayne for your help in getting Gizmo home.  xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Good News Gizmo is home yaaaayyyyyy lol I got 5 phone calls from different people telling me they had seen him near my home on the main road it took me 4 hours to locate him but I have him home he is in very good condition & has been kept by someone I think it was the posters that made them let him go. He is as fat as when he dissapeared 6 days ago still has his collar & not a speck of mud or dirt on his coat. That is what has convinced me someone had him I am now going to try & workout how to put him on the reunited page. I just wanted to tell you my very good news & to say a big thank you to you all for your help. Jack & Gizmo have just shared some supper & are both fast asleep in each others arms & paws lol Thank you again Liz & JackLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just to let you know I was out all morning putting up posters & a couple of shops in one of the main shopping streets in Oldham have put Gizmo's poster up for me. Also thanks to the help of one of the team (I think the lady is called Jan) the local paper is going to run the story for me they are going to put pictures in the paper I am hopeing Jack (Gizmo's best friend & owner) will have his picture taken to go with the story. But Jack is not very good at having his picture taken & I am not sure he will agree but the lady said that wouldn't be a problem they will still run the story & just have Gizmo's picture in. So fingers crossed with all the publicity Gizmo will be back home with us very very soon. I will keep you all posted with my news Thank you JacksmumLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Gizmo is a 6 month old mainly Black Chihuahua dog with a little bit of tan & white to his face & belly. His owner is my 8 year old son who has Autism & misses his best friend so much he has stopped eating. Gizmo is my little boys only friend & I am sure he is also pining for his little owner. I can't offer much of a reward as I can't work due to my sons illness. He was lost from the clarksfield area of Oldham around 12.30 lunchtime he is wearing a black patent leather coller & doesn't know his way home as he was carried to the field where he & my son played every day no matter the weather. Gizmo is chipped please help my son to get his best friend home soon. Thank you for reading this my telephone number is 07854570408

jacksmumk, sorry to see little Gizmo is missing.  Thanks for sending his detals to Admin, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  I've converted photo from a word doc.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).    Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  Great he is CHIPPED do contact the Chip Co and report him missing and check your details are up to date. Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope he is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
