I am glad he has been found and none the worse for wear I hope.  I think the owners should take issue with this. I too thought traps had to be checked very regularly.

Poor boy - bet he was pleased to be released - and hungry and thirsty too.   Long time not to have been found?   Thought the idea of traps was that they should be monitored regularly / frequently ???   Welcome home Brock, stay safe now xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have spoken with owners - they have informed local dog wardens in 3 councils and have checked with local kennels, I have advised owners on scenting the area that Brook went missing from which is farming area, they have contacted other local farm owners so they are on the look out too. I have advised owners to poster far and wide and to conatct the local vets via the find a vet link on site.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi I?m sorry to hear Brock is missing. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres?local council stray dogs holding kennel give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars.., If you can go down there each day to check for your dog that is the best thing as they only have to hold a dog for 7 days before it can legally be rehomed or in some cases destroyed. It is also worth contacting the local police as if someone has found your dog they may well have contacted them. email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo please if you haven?t already. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Get postering now?..as quickly and as many as you can physically manage. make sure you offer a reward on the posters. POSTER POSTER POSTER!!!?I cannot emphasize how important this is, from the posters you will get sightings and lots of extra pairs of eyes looking out for your dog. Poster bus stops, train stations, supermarket/retail park car parks, pet shops petrol stations, lay by snack vans, service stations, bins, poo bins, shopping centres, take away outlets, pubs, lamposts, caf?s, leisure centre?s,??.basically anywhere people go you need to poster like mad so nobody misses them? ask in as many places as you can if they will display a poster for you. Tell postman and binmen and give them a poster so they have your phone no handy? infact tell every single person you meet while searching as the more people know the much better chance of getting your dog back quickly. Contact the local newspaper and radio stations? take out an advert with a photo in the papers pets section lost and found and make sure you offer a reward!. Good luck xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
