- Thank you so much to the 2 lads from Verwood who found the pup tonight and returned her home where she appears to be no worse for her scare, eaten and will sleep well tonight. X

- @choowie74 if that is the Watery Lane, in Iwerne Minster, it's a possibility. Quite a few miles (10 or so) from Gussage Hill but quite possible.

- Thank you Ragebe2, there is more information on Doglost Dorset Facebook group. Posters in the wider area would be a great help with raising awareness although she is more likely to still be in the area where lost.
There are maps on the Facebook group showing lost point. - 2022-01-18 20:09 Ragebe2
- ST9961 1341 is the OS Grid reference. This is a far better term to use, for dogs lost in the country. Postcodes aren't a lot of good, when a postcode region can be 15 miles+, west to east.
I have gone to look for several dogs that have been lost in the New Forest are over the years and without exception, they have all been found near people/animals. Dogs are, after all pack animals and social creatures. This hound is likely to be around a local farm, Gussage All Saints/Cashmoor/Gussage All Saints.
Please let me know if you'd like me to come and help search.

- Thank you for that info have now sent alerts out to helpers in SP5
- 2022-01-18 19:59 Ragebe2
- I live 5 minutes from Gussage Hill.
Because my postcode starts with SP5, I don't receive notifications. Remember, I'm 5' away in 6d Handley.
Very happy to help look and I can print and put up posters in Cranborne and Sixpenny Handley (if not already done)
I would suggest you also notify helpers in BH31 (Verwood) 16,000 people and very close. And of course, SP5.
Then there is Blandford Forum, a further 8 minutes or so from Gussage Hill, postcode DT11. Always worth contacting those people.

- Please look under any cover, shrubs, brambles, ditches etc.
Search quietly, no calling or whistling and stand and listen regularly for any movement or whining. Can we also have help printing and displaying posters to raise awareness. - 2022-01-18 13:31 Jenny Wright. Area Co-ordinator - West Hampshire
- Anyone local , can you help search please?
