Thank you to Jayne and to owner for text while I was at work to tell me she was home. have now spoken to owner and Ripple has sore feet and is quite thin, but otherwise ok. Owner did all that was advised with the scenting, and Ripple brought herself home this morning and appeared at the back gate. She knows where she is best off really! Welcome home Ripple - you be a good girl now x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You could also contact the Fenland Citizen and try to get a piece about her in the paper. They are very good where animals are concerned.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Ripple is still in the area. Police and all neighbours and landowners are aware. Ripple was sighted last night right by the road, and was only about 3 feet away, but when caught in police headlights she bolted again. Owner fears she will be knocked down as so traumatised. What happened was that Riple and her mother jumped the fence and got out of owners property and were worrying rabbits close by on someone elses land. Ripple then got caught in an electric fence, which apparently is very high voltage, and could not get off, so received one shock after another and was screaming. When she did get free she bolted, and then was seen later by the police on the road. This would be the A1101 between Outwell and Christchurch. Incidentally the mother dog came back and owner is using her and her other dogs today to scent the area. The main problem is the road, and that the electric fence is between where Ripple was seen, and where er home is, so dont think she will come near. Dogs have an igloo in their garden and owner is going to drag it to the other side of the fencing and set up a safe area with bedding and food - and willcent out from there. Hopefully Ripple will find it and settle there as owner does not hold ut much hope of being able to catch her. Other family members are coming today to help and posters will be put up along he road where cars pull up or slow down. Have given normal advice re- not to chase - and advised to inform all vets just in case she gets clipped by a car. Poor owner is beside herself with worry at the moment, but hopefully Ripple will slow, and sttle down for a while now, and will stay close. Any advise would be useful.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You can also ring Marian on 0135 4661887. She will put her in the Petsearch column of the Fenland Citizen. It certainly helped me.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Not sure where threeholes is, but you need to get posters put up, contact vets, rescue centres, dog warden etc. Very best of luck. I got my Bubbles back and she had run off.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
