Fantastic news that Rupert has been found ! I understand from  both Ruperts owner and a friend of hers that he is a very diifficult boy and I just think he took advantage of a turned back when he decided to slip off. Welcome home Rupert and no more sneaking off please xx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hello janey
could be the lady thinks he isnt being kept from straying properly,, I have numerous times taken a lab home after him straying onto the main roads,,they seem to let him out to wander and he goes for miles! first time we had him a week before we found his owners,,he didnt seem happy to go home every time! we have now told them we wont return him to them if we pick him up again,,and am sure a few months ago he was up for adoption as a stray uncollected in our area ;-(Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just heard that he's back.  Same lady as last time was 'looking after him' and seemed somewhat unwilling to hand him over.  Whatever the reason, he is now safely back

Have spoken with Ruperts owner. This boy just vanished from the house late yesterday pm.  His owner had let her other dogs out quickly into the garden but not Rupert so it is thought he must have 'sneaked out' when she was'nt looking. Having lost Rupert earlier on this year his owner is aware of who to contact and I am hopeful that he has been taken in by someone who will get him checked for a chip. xx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

have spoken to Ruperts owner and she has emailed a photo through to admin which will hopefully be on site soon. Rupert ran off from home with another dog who was later caught but there have been no sightings of Rupert since he ran off. Dog wardens, stray kennels etc have been informed and I have advised that they poster as much as they can. Hoping to see this boy home again very soon xxx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
