- Possible sighting of a sandy colored dog at around 9am 2/03/22 in a field near Dunster. Owner and myself were there not long after sighting. Sadly no sightings from ourselves after checking surrounding areas. Owners advised to set up a food station at home and I've placed a cam there too. This is in case she is on the move and heading home.

- Day 10 of search and still no clue on Ruby's whereabouts. Great group of volunteers helping search hedges and holes, postering and spreading the word. Hoping for a sighting or clue soon.

- We have not had any success in locating the lady that claims she saw a brown dog yesterday so I am acting for now that it was. With that being said I have asked ALL to stand down on the searching, except for myself and the owners where we will just lay food scents and watch from distance areas of interest, one area in particular that we come across today. Really need a confirmed a sighting to assure us she is now above ground.

- SAR Drone&Ground Search Update: We had our thermal drone out this morning doing a flyby of the surrounding areas. Drone search had to stop due to the lack of GPS in the area and live video transmission. Cam Trap was checked but sadly nothing of interest. After this a drive through Bicknoller, Vellow, Capton, Stanford Brett and Stogumber. Nothing was sighted :-( Spoke with the owner who was out walking all the surrounding areas (of the possible sighting of Ruby) putting up posters. Lots have been put up, keeping our fingers crossed for a sighting by someone with or without social media to come forward. Late afternoon, I took my scent dog with me and we walked from Capton over the fields straight through to the owner's workshop in Washford - a map will be on the SAR drone post. The workshop area was checked again along with Cam Trap. Keeping our fingers and paws crossed for some good news! Last edited: 2022-02-17 17:07:03 by SARdrones/Ground Search (WS)

- Possible sighting of Ruby this afternoon which came through this evening. Have been discussing with owner a plan for tomorrow. Popular walking spots being postered early to catch dog walker, we are just not clear of her direction. Explained the importance of understanding Ruby's behaviour whilst lost. Fingers crossed for another sighting so we have a better idea of her movements.

- Drone SAR support requested 16/02. Joanne Iddon has assisted with ground search today, weather has meant drone support not possible. No sightings despite local ground search coverage (map available via DroneSAR post), cam trap and scent trail/food station set up.

- Ruby loves chasing rabbits so it is possible she has gone to ground. Other dogs who know her have not shown any interest at any particular areas so listening at any holes in the area will be carried out.
Aware and warned re scam calls and further advice will be sent via email. I hope Ruby returns soon. - 2022-02-16 11:22 Vizslamum
